Purpose: This dataset has been produced to present percentage point change in Melbourne's urban vegetation cover between 2014 and 2018. The Mesh Blocks geography will assist users to perform spatial analysis to support policy and local decision making.

Positional Accuracy: Equivalent to the source ABS Mesh Blocks Dataset Positional Accuracy.
Atribute Accuracy: Indicative photogrammetric results: accuracy in easting, northing and height = 0.3m, 0.3m, and 0.3m. Measures trees, shrubs and grasses. Omission errors include dead grasses, grasses occluded by trees, and possibly deciduous trees at the time of data capture. Indicative overall accuracy for vegetation cover is better than 90% as estimated from 3 regions repeated for 2 dates to provide 6 estimates. Range from regions 90-98%.
Logical Consistency: There are no overlaps, invalid geometries, or duplicates.
Data Source: The features are derived from the 2016 ABS Mesh Blocks boundaries, Landsat-8 derived Land Surface Temperature (LST) and aerial photography and Near-Infrared (NIR) imagery, and looks at changes between 2014 and 2018.
