Locate Survey Marks (SMES)

User Registration

Registered users can login to SMES and have additional functions available.

• Reserve Permanent Mark numbers - so surveys can show the actual mark number
• Release reserved Permanent Mark numbers - when they are no longer needed
• Enter information for new Primary Cadastral Marks
• Enter information to update existing Survey Marks - including coordinates and comments
• Note - new and updated information is not added to the database immediately - it has to be approved by SMES staff first

Registering as a user

Registered users are commonly licensed surveyors, but anyone may apply to be registered as a user.

• You must have a My Land.Vic Account username - if necessary, create an account
• Registration is by username, not account name
• The creator of an account can add additional users
• Email the SMES manager asking to be registered, and listing the username/s required
• Once approved you will be notified, and the user can then login to SMES
