Abstract: The Western Port Local Coastal Hazard Assessment (LCHA) provides information on the extent of coastal hazards and their physical impacts for the Western Port coastal environment. Information has been collected on inundation hazards (storm surge and catchment inflows) using modelling for different sea level rise scenarios.

This data represents the extent of shoreline inundation for the 10% Average Exceedance Probability (AEP) catchment generated flood under a +50cm sea level rise scenario.

Positional Accuracy: The mapping utilises modelling results produced at 50 m cell resolution and is considered to have a 1:10,000 mapping scale for the cartographic inundation product.
Atribute Accuracy: There are no attributes
Logical Consistency: Results have been compiled with the 10% AEP catchment inflows scenarios for the MSL, 0.2m and 0.8m sea level rise scenarios.
Data Source: Hydrodynamic modelling for Western Port shoreline. The Digital Elevation Model used for the modelling was developed with a 5m grid cell resolution derived from the DEPI elevation data sets : Victorian Coastal LIDAR Level 3 (2012-2013 Western Port, 1m grid cell resolution), 2007-08 Future Coasts Bathymetric Survey (2.5m grid cell resolution) and 2010 Future Coasts Multibeam Bathymetric Survey of Western Port Bay (2.5m grid cell resolution).
